Secretary Report: Penny S.: I am still learning, thank you for being patient with me.

Financial Report: Melissa H.: Financial report February 2020 is attached to email. Thank you to everyone for going the extra mile and helping me keep things in order. FINANCIAL

Women’s Corrections Report: Debbie G.: Schedule for women’s jail meetings is complete through June. Everything is going well and we are good with literature as of now. I would like to suggest bringing all books and literature for jail from the Alano Club to the 141 Club since there is room to store and locked storage available. We would make an inventory list and have a sign out sheet for anything removed and brought to the jail as well as all new literature/books added into inventory. Please take a vote on this. I’d like to thank Sandy, Karen, Linda, Mary and Pam for their dedicated service to Women’s Corrections.

Men’s Correction Report: Torv T.: Met with lieutenant Jason Conery, and also TD will be going into the Dickinson County jail. I am request 10 full soft cover BB to take into the jail.

Webmaster Report: Cliff W.: Have been active to keep the district 17 website updated as well as the website at Hostek Web Host site for District 17.  This has been performed in my home office. Current website at present is off the Internet as it is being moved from Hostek.com to new Hostgator.com. Through trial and error, this past month saw research to WordPress software to re-design the website. Making a purchase of $96 and mapping our website to WordPress was initiated. Realizing within 24 hours that this was not the intentions, canceled the order of $96 from WordPress because the mapping would change the title to district17a74wordpress.org. Further research at Hostek, became discouraged by the lingo terms (Internet language) as PHP settings, My SQL, DSN, etc. etc. and contacting support for answers and instructions and decided to research UTUBE to view many videos on the lingo terms and instructions to designing webpages for further education. One key video had to do with WordPress and Hostgator.com and a decision was made to transfer our website to Hostgator.com that was initiated on Feb 21. Under the hatching plan the cost is $107.40 a year at Hostgator up from the annual $69.48 the district was paying at Hostek.com, however, receiving a $64.44 discount the first year so the district only paid $42.96 instead. Our annual amount was due to Hostek in March 2020. Now the cost of moving our website from Hostek to Hostgator amounted to $17.09, however, received a $10.04 discount so district paid $7.95 total. The one other charge in having a website is the annual registration that is fulfilled in August each year at a cost of $13.96 annual. Living my life 1-day at a time, Cliff W.

P.I. Committee: Angie Z., Vickie G.: Got the new racks that were ordered, we are putting literature in the police stations and also the Salvation Army in Kingsford. Also, Dickinson Housing has approved to put literature in the apartment buildings. The Daily news needs to be updated and Karen K. is going to go with Vickie G.

Inter-Group Committee: Pam T.: Moving forward for April 18th, 2020. Bank account set-up for Inter-group fund with new signatures.

D.C.M. & Alt. D.C.M. Report: Larry L. & Dave M.: There is an Area DCM call tomorrow night Feb. 25th at 7pm. I will give a report on the call and the Delegates Workshop in Three Lakes on the 7th, at the next business meeting. We purchased racks for the PI Committee and turned in the receipt. The Tues. 10am meeting in Norway has been well attended and bringing many comforting thoughts.
